Bijori to portray Afroja in ‘The Silence’

Popular television actress and dancer Bijori Barkatullah will portray the role of Afroja in a web series titled ‘The Silence’. The series is written and directed by Vicky Zahed. The project also stars Mehazabien Chowdhury, Shamol Mawla and Azizul Hakim.

Regarding the webseries, Bijori Barkatullah said, “To be honest, the whole team of Zahed worked very hard while shooting the series. Besides, the others who were involved were very smart and good at their job”.

“I never felt it tough to act in any shoot but in this project I have worked hard for more than 12 days on a stretch. I literally immersed into the character I was playing. I’ve learnt a lot from this project and hope to do more web series like this” she added.

‘The Silence’ will premiere on January 29, said Bijori. It will be available to stream on OTT platform Binge.

Bijori Barkatullah acted her first drama, ‘Shukher Chharpotro’, directed by her father Mohammad Barkatullah in 1988. She got her breakthrough by her performance in the drama serial ‘Kothao Keu Nei’. Bijori is also engaged in modeling and dancing.
