‘Pathaan’ is releasing in record-breaking more than 100 countries and will screen in more than 2500 screens overseas alone. The advance booking for the film has already indicated a massive opening on January, 25 reports Hindustan Times.
Film trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared the number of tickets sold by Pathaan for its opening day on Monday. He said 4.19 lakh tickets were already sold for day 1 of its release on January 25, with one more day left for advance booking. The film is behind Baahubali 2 and KGF 2, both were dubbed in Hindi.
Taran had earlier indicated the film could open between Rs 45-50 crore on Wednesday.
The film is reportedly set to be released across India in around 5,000 screens. It is a first Shah Rukh Khan film to have 6:00am shows.
According to PTI, not just multiplexes, the film is enjoying bumper advance booking in single screen theatres as well. Mumbai’s popular single-screen theatres Gaiety, Galaxy and Maratha Mandir have ticket booking of 70 to 80 per cent. It is also one of the first films from Bollywood that’s leading the charts in advance booking in southern parts of the country.
Pathaan brings back the hit pair of Shah Rukh and Deepika Padukone. It is their fourth film together after Om Shanti Om and their biggest blockbuster Chennai Express.
