Rajib, Nishita to release songs marking Mother Language Day

Popular singers of this generation, Rajib and Nishita Barua, have sung two different singles as filler songs on Bangladesh Television (BTV) for International Mother Language Day.

The shooting of the music videos has been completed at the Central Shaheed Minar.

Rajib has lent his voice to the song titled ‘Aamar Bhashar Lal Nil Dwipgulo’. Hirendranath Mridha wrote the lyrics to the song.

On the other hand, Nishita Barua lent her voice to the song titled ‘Prithibi Dekhechhe Nirbak Hoye’. The legendary lyricist Mohammad Rafiq Uz Zaman wrote the lyrics of this song.

Sumon Reza Khan composed the music for both songs.

Rajib is very thrilled to do a song for Mother Language Day. Regarding this, the singer said, “I always like to sing patriotic songs. I am lucky to have the opportunity to sing a song with such beautiful lyrics and heartfelt tunes for the month of languages, paying tribute to the ‘language martyrs’.”

“The lyrics of the song are very emotional, and so is the tune. I tried to sing the song with a lot of emotion and tenderness. I hope the audience will like the song. I also show my gratitude towards them for having selected me to sing this song.” he added.

Nishita Barua said, “I am very fortunate to sing a patriotic song written by Mohammad Rafiz Uz Zaman Sir. There is a wonderful harmony between the composer’s melody and the lyrics of the song. That is why the song is a very pleasant and joyful song. It is a matter of joy to me that I got the chance to sing a patriotic song for “Mother Language Day.”

Meanwhile, in the next few days, Nishita is scheduled to perform stage shows in Dhaka, Gazipur and Kushtia.

‘Tumi Dakle Na’ was Nishita’s last released original song. Dewan Naser Raza wrote the lyrics of the song, and Alok Bappa composed its music. One of her most popular original songs is ‘Hiya’. Jahangir Rana composed the lyrics and tune of this song.

However, Rajib is busy with stage shows as well. He performed in several places, including Dhaka and Madaripur.

Recently, Rajib has voiced a song titled ‘Mubarak Eid Mubarak’, with lyrics written by Polli Malek and music composed by Amit Chatterjee for the upcoming Eid.
