Kona, Imran to perform in London

Renowned playback duo of the present time, Dilshad Nahar Kona and Imran Mahmudul will perform together on the same stage for the first time. They will perform at the London Royal Regency on February 4. The show will start at 3:00 pm (local time). Recently, Kona and Imran have left for London to perform at the show.

Kona said, “Before this, I went to London once to do a show several years ago. This time Imran and I are going together, it is a matter of great joy for us. In the meantime, Imran and I discussed the performance at the event and conversed on how to make our performance more lively and enjoyable for the audience. We gained popularity in the playback scene. Many Bangladeshi expatriates live in London. The event is for them”.

On the other hand, Imran said, “This is my second time participating in a show outside the country with Kona Apu. After the London show, we will go to Australia. We might visit some other countries as well. We have two shows in London and three in Australia. Previously, Apu and I had done songs in movies together. So, it is expected that every show will be beautiful. We are both very excited, hoping for the best.”

Kona and Imran won the National Film Award for singing together in Chayanika Chowdhury’s movie ‘Bishwosundori’ for the first time. Around 16 years ago, Kona’s last released song was ‘Akash e Sobai Chai Urte.’ She covered this song for herself. Masud Sezan wrote the lyrics of the song and Polash Nur composed its music.
