Nazrul Festival begins today

The two-day ‘Nazrul Festival 2023’ will begin today at Gulshan Lake Park.

Organised by Bangladesh Nazrul-Sangeet Songstha, the High Commission of India in Dhaka, and the Gulshan Society, the festival will be held from 5 pm to 10 pm, until tomorrow.

State Minister for Cultural Affairs of Bangladesh KM Khalid will inaugurate the festival, while Indian High Commissioner to Bangladesh Pranay Verma, the CEO of HSBC Bank Bangladesh Md Mahbub ur Rahman, the president of the Gulshan Society Dr ATM Shamsul Huda, and the Director General of the Bangla Academy Mohammad Nurul Huda, will also be present at the event of the opening ceremony.

Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni will attend the final day of the festival.

The programme will have artistes from both Bangladesh and India. Nazrul Sangeet recordings collected from 125 artistes will be available at the programme. The recordings will be released on YouTube for streaming.
