Hanif Sanket brings two books at book fair

Popular Television host Hanif Sanket published his latest book titled ‘Abeg Jokhon Bibeghin’ at the Ekushey Book Fair.

The book consists of articles he wrote for various national dailies and some of his writings from his travels to Greece and the USA. ‘Abeg Jokhon Bibeghin’ is published by Anannya Prokashoni and is available at their stall at the book fair.

Alongside his work, he is also putting in work to uphold civil awareness, culture, and tradition with sincerity. In this book, those issues have been prioritized.

Regarding the book, Hanif Sanket said “The difference between emotions and conscience is that conscience listens to reason. Our conscience takes decisions by factoring in pros and cons, good and bad whereas when it comes to emotions, we act on our feelings. Sometimes emotions overwhelm the conscience and that’s when we experience resentment, grief, and chaos. That’s because a person without a conscience can never make the right decisions”.

“I started my career in the media industry as a writer in the 1970s. As the popular television show ‘Ityadi’ received vast love and appreciation from the audience, so I am busy working on this television show and I focused less on writing. For the last 34 years, I had to work on the same schedule, I always had to shoot beforehand as ‘Ityadi’ airs on the same specific date. But, regardless of how busy I am with work I try to write one book per year”, added Sanket.

‘Hanif Sanket Rachana Samagra-1’ will also be published by Anannya Prokashoni later in the book fair. Dhrubo Esh has done the cover of the book. It is a compilation of some books by Hanif Sanket from 1996 to 2004.

Hanif Sanket was honoured with Ekushey Padak for social activities in 2010 and National Poribesh Padak for environmental awareness activities in 2014. Sanket first appeared on television on the show ‘Jodi Kichhu Mone Na Koren’ in the 1980s. Later, he moved on to create his TV show ‘Ityadi’. He also produced other shows like Jhalak, Kothar Kotha, and Eid Annondo Mela.
