Purnima passing hectic days ahead of Eid

National Film Award-winning actress Purnima is passing a busy time for her government-granted film ‘Ahare Jibon’ and her debut web series ‘Hotel Relax’. The film, ‘Ahare Jibon’ is expected to see its release this upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr.

The shooting of ‘Ahare Jibon’ is almost done. The film will portray some stories during the pandemic situation. Ferdous Ahmed is playing the role of a police officer in this film, while Purnima is playing the role of an ordinary girl named Dola.

“If everything goes according to plan, the film will be released on Eid-ul-Fitr. We will submit the film to the censor board soon after we finish the remaining work. Purnima was brilliant during the shooting time. She also helped me a lot in many ways while making the film. I hope this project to be a good one for the audience,” said Chatku Ahmed, the director of ‘Ahare Jibon’.

Talking about her work life and shootings, Purnima said, “Chatku Ahmed is a brilliant director. He was the one who showed interest to cast me in this film. So, here I am shooting for this film. Hope we will receive a good response from the audience.”

“As all know, I’m working with Ome in the web series ‘Hotel Relax’ too. It was a new experience for me, and it feels good,” she added.

For the first time in her career, popular actress Purnima is going to act in a web series. Directed by Kajal Arefin Ome the web series is titled ‘Hotel Relax’ where Purnima will play the role of a police officer. Along with Purnima, the six-episode web series also casts Ziaul Haque Polash, Shimul Sharma, Chashi Alam, Marzuk Russell, Parsana Eva, and others. The series will be available on the streaming platform Bongo BD.

On the other hand, the actress started shooting for ‘Ahare Jibon’ in October last year.

Apart from this, Purnima’s two upcoming films, ‘Gaangchil’ and ‘Jam,’ directed by Noim Imtiaz Neyamul, are expected to release.

Purnima made her film debut with ‘E Jibon Tomar Amar’ in 1998. Her notable performance includes ‘Megher Por Megh’ based on the liberation war and directed by Chashi Nazrul Islam. Purnima acted in ‘Shuva’, a story based on Rabindranath Tagore’s short story ‘Shuvashini’.
