Swapnadal to hold two shows of ‘Macbeth’

Theatre troupe Swapnadal will stage two shows of their 18th production ‘Macbeth’ on February 15 at the Experimental Theatre Hall of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy. The first show will start at 6:00 pm while the second one will be starting at 7:30 pm.

The play written by William Shakespeare has been directed by Zahid Repon while the story reconstruction has been done by Juana Sobnom.

The story of the play goes as three witches tell the Scottish general Macbeth that he will be King of Scotland. Encouraged by his wife, Macbeth kills the king, becomes the new king, and kills more people out of paranoia. Civil war erupts to overthrow Macbeth, resulting in more death.
