Khijir Hayat Khan’s directorial film ‘Ora 7 Jon’ will be released this year on March 3, 2023. Before its release, a special screening of the film in honour of the freedom fighters was organised at the Bangladesh Film Archive located in Agargaon in the capital on Thursday.
Khijir Hayat informed that the special show of ‘Ora 7 Jan’ was organised in Bangladesh Film Archive in honor of the brave freedom fighters from 4 pm to 8 pm.
Aiming to present the glorious history of the 1971 Liberation War to the new generation, the film was shot in several parts of Sylhet, which were under Sector 5 during the war.
The story of the film revolves around a squad of seven freedom fighters, aged between 22 and 40 years, and their dedication to the battlefield during the war against then-West Pakistan.
The film stars Zakia Bari Mamo, Intekhab dinar, Imtiaz Barshon, Saif Khan, Khalid Mahbub Turjo, Shahriar Ferdous Sazeeb, Joy Raj, and Hamidur Rahman.
Khijir Hayat Khan began his career as a filmmaker in 2007 with the film ‘Ostittey Amar Desh’, based on the heroic sacrifice of Bir Sreshtho Matiur Rahman during the Liberation War. Khijir also acted in the film.
In 2010, he directed another film titled ‘Jaago’, said to be the first-ever sports drama in Bangladesh. Eight years later, Khijir produced the film ‘Mr. Bangladesh’, where he also appeared as the protagonist.
