Indranil Roychowdhury’s Bangladesh-India joint venture directorial ‘Mayar Jonjal’ (Debris of Desire) was released in Bangladesh and Kolkata on February 24. The film is now running successfully in several cinemas and many celebrities are also sharing how the film had impressed them.
Popular actress Tanvin Sweety is one of the celebrities who watched the film recently and praised Aupee Karim for her performance in the film.
Sweety said, “Aupee is a pride of our entertainment industry. No doubt, she is an amazing actress. I watched the film ‘Mayar Jonjal’ and enjoyed it. I like the story of the movie and Aupee’s performance is outstanding. I’m specially requesting everyone to watch the film. I hope the audience will enjoy it too,”
With ‘Mayar Jonjal’, Aupee Karim is returning to the silver screen after 15 years. The film has been produced by Bangladeshi producer Josim Ahmed. Apart from Aupee the film also casts, Ritwick Chakraborty, Shohel Mondal, Chandreyee Ghosh, and Bratya Basu.
‘Mayar Janjal’ had its world premiere at International Film Festival in China in 2020. In the same year, the film was invited to the Asian Perspectives category at the 15th edition of the Jogja-Netpac Asian Film Festival in Jakarta, Indonesia. The film also won the Best South Asian Feature Film award at the Arthouse Asia Film Festival.
Sweety has finished shooting for the film ‘Russell-er Jonno Opekkha’ directed by Noor-e-Alam and ‘Mike’. Writer and columnist FM Shahin and Hasan Jafrul are jointly directing the movie ‘mike’ while Shahin is also the producer of the film. She is now focussing to work with a good script.
She also acted theatrical play ‘Mukti’ directed by Tropa Majumder and ‘Pohale Shorbori’ last year.
Model-turned-actor Tanvin Sweety has been in the spotlight for almost thirty years. Sweety began her modeling career in 1991. The actress made her debut in television acting with the drama ‘Godhuli Logone’.
