Nagorik TV turns six

With the slogan ‘Television Noy, Somporko’ (Not Television, Relationship), satellite television channel Nagorik will enter its sixth year on March 1. TV has earned the trust of people by airing interesting programmes with professionalism.

On the occasion of its sixth founding anniversary, the channel will broadcast specials live events throughout the day. This live will be attended by prominent people from various fields. There will be a live folk song programme from 7.40 pm onwards. And at 10 pm there will be a special drama ‘Kuli Number Two’.  Directed by Ragib Raihan Pial, the drama stars Tawsif Mahbub, Samira Khan Mahi, Mahmudul Islam Mithu, and others.

Popular programmes on Nagorik TV include news of the entertainment world ‘Nagorik Binodon’, the cooking show ‘Rannar Expert’, the celebrity show ‘Phisphas’, Health related show ‘Deho Ghori’, ‘Sustho Deho, Sustho Mon’, the live musical show ‘Bangla Baul’, ‘Music Cafe’, travel show ‘Pothe Prantore’, Adda ‘Gaan Baksho’, crime show ‘FIR’, talk show ‘Bola Na Bola’ and others.

Nagorik began operations on 1 March 2018, with the slogan, “Television Noy, Somporko” (Not television, relationship). Nagorik was initially licensed to Jadoo Media Limited, which at the time was owned by the late mayor of Dhaka North City Corporation Annisul Huq. Now his wife Rubana Huq is the chairman of the channel.
