Popular baul singer Shafi Mondol and national film award-winning singer Chandana Mazumdar have lent their voice to the title song of the film ‘Noya Manush’.
The song has been composed by Plabon Koreshi while its lyrics have been written by Ronok Ekram. Mushfik Litu has directed the music of the track.
Directed by Sohel Rana Boyati, the film ‘Noya Manush’ stars Rawnak Hasan, Moushumi Hamid, Ashish Khondokar, Jhuna Chowdhury, Nilufar Wahid, Bodruddoza, Shoron Shaha, Shikha Kormokar and others.
About the song, Shafi Mondol said, “It’s a great song. The song is heart-touching. There are very few songs which are touching the heart of the audience. I think it will be alive in the mind of listeners for a long time.”
Chandana Mazumdar said, “The story of the film is amazing. The lyrics of the track are also very impressive and there is an appeal in the lyrics. I hope the audience will like the song.”
Director Sohel Rana Boyati said, “Noya Manus is the most important song of the film. The theme of the film is evident in the song. The film ‘Noya Manush’ has been made based on the life of marginal people of the country.”
“I completed 70 % of the film in October last year. I intended to complete the whole work at once, but 30% of the work got stuck due to super cyclone Sitrang. We will start the rest of the filming soon. Currently, the post-production work is progressing, as we are planning to release the film this year”, he added.
