Mahfuz returns to silver screen with ‘Prahelika’

Popular actor Mahfuz Ahmed has finished the shooting of Chayanika Chowdhury’s new film, ‘Prahelika’. The first song of the film, ‘Megher Nouka’, was released on Bongo’s YouTube channel on Monday. The lyrics of the song were written by Asif Iqbal, while Imran Mahmudul composed the music. Imran and Konal have lent their voices to the song.

The song is receiving a positive response from the audience after its release, and Mahfuz seems really hopeful about his work in it. “There is something called love at first sight. But for me, it’s like I’ve loved this song just after I listened to it for the first time. I’m in a loop and can’t seem to break it. Asif Iqbal has written amazing lyrics. And Imran, Konal have poured all their love into the song. Director Chayanika Chowdhury has beautifully made this romantic song. I’m grateful to everyone. Now I’m eagerly waiting to hear the reaction of the audience,” said Mahfuz.

Bubly also stars in the film. The actress is also hopeful about the song and the film, as she thinks it might be an indicator of how the audience appreciates her and Mahfuz as a new pair in the film industry.

Konal lent her voice to the song and she is also excited about its release and how the audience is responding to it.

“I have lent my voice to romantic songs since the beginning of my career. I sang a duet with Imran multiple times before. But what I can say is that this is one of the best songs I’ve sung so far. My fans have been waiting for this song since the release of the teaser for ‘Prahelika’. I am getting great responses after my release. I express my gratitude to the lyricist, composer, producer, and artists of the song,” said Konal.

Expressing excitement about Mahfuz’s return to the silver screen Asif Iqbal said, “I wrote the last song for the film ‘Dhaka Attack’. This time I wrote for ‘Prahelika’. The first reason for writing the song is Mahfuz Ahmed’s comeback. It is a matter of great joy for all of us. Others involved in the movie are also my favourites. But Mahfuz Ahmed is a little special to me. I tried to write the song with enough emotion and sincerity. Imran-Konal has sung the song incredibly. I’m really satisfied after seeing it on screen. It seems that the director has done justice to the song,”

The song was shot in scenic locations in Sylhet, Chheradwip, and Saint Martin’s Island. Pantho Shahriar wrote the story and dialogues of the film ‘Prahelika’. The release date for the film will be announced soon.
