‘Wings of Art’ underway at AFD

A group exhibition titled ‘Wings of Art’ is underway at the Alliance Française de Dhaka. The purpose of this exhibition is to spread information about the country’s traditions and introduce promising young artists to the people of the country.

Academician and entrepreneur Dr Rubana Haque and eminent artist Prof Jamal Ahmed were present at the inaugural ceremony of the event on March 3. An art portal named wings-of-art was also launched on the opening day of the exhibition as part of creating an open platform to showcase Bangladeshi art and painters’ paintings globally. The idea of the site is to sell and collect paintings by artists and preserve information about collectors in Bangladesh.

The exhibition is about selected artworks from an art camp, Wings of Wind, arranged in Shafipur of Gazipur with the participation of 24 traditional and promising young artists.

Through this exhibition, Wings of Wind and Shilpangan began their joint journey.

The exhibition is open to all every day from 3:00pm to 9:00pm, till March 12 except Fridays.
