As far as Bangladesh’s modelling industry is concerned, Sadia Islam Mou and Adil Hossain Noble were the ones who raised the bar for other models, as well as actors, during their time and from the young generation.
Although both personalities stopped walking the ramp as professional models for almost 12 years, Mou and Nobel walked on the stage together as the showstoppers and surprised the attendees at a fashion show held recently in Dhaka.
“It’s been a long time for me since I walked down the ramp. And it’s been longer than that since Mou and I walked on a ramp as showstoppers,” said Noble.
“I felt great because being showstoppers is an honour. I want to express my gratitude to everyone involved in organising this fashion show. It was indeed an amazing event,” he added.
Besides appearing together in many television commercials, Mou and Noble have worked together in many dramas and telefilms — becoming heartthrobs of the country’s youths.
Apart from occasional modelling, Nobel currently works as the chief enterprise business officer at telecom company Robi Axiata Limited. According to him, his full-time job keeps him busy now and that is why the audience is not seeing him on the screen more as an actor or model.
However, he still has an interest in working in the entertainment industry if good scripts manage their way to him, Noble said.
Noble made his debut in the modelling industry in 1992 through Afzal Hossain and the Azad Ballpen TVC he directed.
Meanwhile, Mou made her modelling debut in 1989 through the TVC for Mount Shampoo.
