‘Informal Desire’ begins today

An art exhibition titled ‘Informal Desire’ by artist Mobasshier Mojumder is starting today at Kala Kendra in the capital.

The exhibition will showcase mixed media on paper and canvas.

The inaugural event will start at 6:00pm on the gallery premises. Artist Monirul Islam and artist professor Mostafizul Haque will be present at the opening ceremony.

As a mixed-media artist, Mobbasshier Mojumder delves into the processes of strong layers of materiality and intense self-involvement.

Mubasshier’s works are informal and very personal, influenced by a range of artistic movements, including colour field abstraction, abstract expressionism, and minimalism, which may suggest a sense of vitality and energy.

The artist is fond of penetrating materials, fusing their source and viability into an interface of inventing void through portraying gestures, the surface battleground of light and dark to an intensity where the known losses all symmetrical preconceived hearings into a state of painterly undertakings.

The exhibition is open to all every day from 4:00pm to 8:00pm till March 28.
