Netflix original shows, movies coming in March

Last month saw the release of highly anticipated Netflix originals like 10 Days of a Good Man, a crime thriller film that is releasing today on Netflix. Directed by Jamie Payne and written by Neil Cross, the film is a continuation of the famous TV series of the same name. Idris Elba reprises his role as John Luther, a brilliant yet disgraced and jailed detective. As the cyber psychopath terrorizes London, Luther decides to take the matter into his own hands. The movie adaptation of the series has been done by Neil Cross, who is also the writer of the original TV series, with direction from Jamie Payne. The movie stars Andy Serkis and Cynthia Erivo in supporting roles.

Shadow and Bone - Season 2

The first reason this sensational fantasy series took Netflix by storm back in 2021. Now the second season, which will be released on March 17, will continue with Alina, a cartographer for the Ravka nation. It follows as dark forces conspire against orphan mapmaker Alina Starkov when she unleashes an extraordinary power that could change the fate of her war-torn world. The series is based on the best-selling novel of the same name by Leigh Bardugo. The novel has been adapted for TV by Eric Heiserrer. The series features Jessie Mei Li, Archie Renaux, and Ben Barnes in lead roles.

Invisible City - Season 2

The series, based on Brazilian folklore, will be released on March 22. The story of the series goes as After a family tragedy, a man discovers mythical creatures living among humans — and soon realizes they hold the key to his mysterious past. The series casts Marco Pigossi, Alessandra Negrini, Jessica Cores, and others in major roles.

Ikebukuro West Gate Park

Ikebukuro West Gate Park follows the story of Makoto, a 20-year-old delinquent who frequently gets into trouble for his over-the-top curiosity and unruly nature. Makoto is assisted by a group of his best buddies. How this group of delinquents navigates life and how they unravel deeper mysteries makes up the basic premise of the anime.

The first season of the anime has already been completed by Kobo Animations, back in 2020. Netflix has acquired the global distribution rights to the series. This series will be released on March 15.

Furies

Furies follow the story of a martial arts master training three proteges. The aim is to make them vigilantes who will fight against the evil gang that has been ravaging their cities; However as the trio of proteges embarks upon the revenge mission, they soon realize that something is off. ‘Furies’ is a Vietnamese movie directed by Veronica Ngo, starring Dong Anh and Rima Thanh in lead roles. The movie will drop on Netflix on March 23.

The Magician’s Elephant

The Magician’s Elephant is an upcoming animated film directed by Wendy Rogers with a screenplay by Martin Hynes. It’s based on the 2009 novel by Kate DiCamillo of the same name. The story follows Peter as he tries to find his long-lost sister. A fortune teller tells him that he will need to find a magical elephant first. The adventure that follows makes up the premise of the movie. The movie will drop on Netflix on March 17.
