A discussion and celebration program is scheduled to celebrate the occasions of Nowruz (Persian New Year) and Bangla Nababarsha today at the Muzaffar Ahmed Chowdhury Auditorium of the University of Dhaka.
Iran Cultural Center, the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and the Department of Persian Language and Literature of Dhaka University are jointly organising the event at 3:30pm.
State Minister for Cultural Affairs KM Khalid will be attending the event as chief guest, while Mansour Chavoshi, mbassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Bangladesh, and Professor Dr Muhammad Samad, pro-vice chancellor (Administration) of University of Dhaka, will be present as special guests.
The programme will be presided over by the chairman of the department of Persian language and literature, Professor DR Mohammad Bahauddin.
