Rani’s ‘Mrs Chatterjee Vs Norway’ beats ‘Pathaan’

Rani Mukerji starrer ‘Mrs Chatterjee Vs Norway’, has set new records in Norway as the film breaks the records of Shah Rukh Khan’s films, ‘Pathaan’ and ‘Raees’, in the country.

According to the Times of India, since the film, which was released on March 17, largely revolves around Norway, the audience there has been extremely curious to know more about the conflict in the film. Hence, amidst that curiosity and since Norway is like a character itself in the film, audiences flocked to the theatres like never before.

With ‘Mrs Chatterjee Vs Norway’, Rani has once again shown a woman of substance and strength who stands for her rights and raises her voice against injustice. Expressing her happiness about the film’s success, Rani said, “It always feels great to see stories of our Indian women being heard globally. I have always tried my best to take the stories of our Indian women to a global platform. I am an Indian woman and know our powers... so I always ensure that our stories are heard with my work.”

“If your content is good then it will definitely find its audience irrespective of the medium. By gods grace, Mrs Chatterjee vs Norway has found its audience! I am really happy to see people showering love on our film,” she added.

Hence, ‘Mrs Chatterjee Vs Norway’ took the highest opening ever for a Hindi film in Norway, as per the trade website boxofficeindia.com. The previous record was set by the Shah Rukh Khan starrer ‘Raees’ for over days. But ‘Mrs Chatterjee Vs Norway’ broke these records and also the record of ‘Pathaan’ in Norway. It collected $600k in the overseas market, and it can continue to keep doing better in the coming days.
