‘Joy Bangla Banglar Joy’ released again

To mark Independence Day ‘IPDC Amader Gaan’ released a new cover of the famous patriotic song ‘Joy Bangla Banglar Joy’ on March 25. Originally written by the late Gazi Mazharul Anwar, the music arrangement of the new version has been done by Emon Saha, while Rashid Khan was in charge of overall planning and direction.

Dithi Anwar, Yusuf Ahmed Khan, Konal, Ayan Chakladar, Tina Russell, Sandhi, Mehrab, and Shanta Islam lent their voices to the new version of the song.

Written by Gazi Mazharul Anwar, the original song was released in 1970, and the tune of this song was composed by Anwar Parvez. At that time the song was originally sung by the late musician Abdul Jabbar. Along with him, some other artists of Swadhin Bangla Betar participated in the chorus.

Regarding the song, Dithi Anwar said, “All the musicians performed from the bottom of their hearts while recording the new version. Thus, the final result is beautiful. The music arrangement is simply amazing. The music was mix mastered in Chennai. The song has been released to keep the audience of this generation in mind. I believe everyone will like the song. This song is related to the history of this country. As long as Bangladesh exists, this song will exist, and my father will live with this song even after hundreds of years,” said.

Yusuf said, “It is my greatest achievement to be associated with a song like ‘Joy Bangla Banglar Joy’. I must express my gratitude to Dithi, Upal and their entire family. ‘Joy Bangla Bangla Joy’ should be listened to by all because this song is historical. The song is already very popular, yet let this song spread even more with the new cover.”
