Partha, Nishita to sing with 100 children at Shishu Academy

Two popular singers Partha Barua and Nishita Barua will sing the famous song ‘Joy Bangla Banglar Joy’ along with hundreds of children today at 11:00 am at Shishu Academy. The recording of the song has been done at R Studio yesterday.

On the occasion of Independence Day on March 26, Bangladesh Shishu Academy has organized a special programme featuring discussion meetings, awards, and a cultural programme. State Minister for Women and Children Affairs Fazilatun Nessa Indira will be present as the chief guest, while Chairman of Bangladesh Shishu Academy Lucky Inam will preside over the function. Singers Partha Barua and Nishita Barua will sing the song Joy Bangla along with hundreds of child artists in the cultural phase.

The song written by Gazi Mazharul Anwar was composed by Anwar Parvez in 1970. On the occasion of Independence Day, the ‘Joy Bangla’ song has been newly arranged by singer and music director Partha Barua himself.

The song was recorded under the supervision of Bangladesh Shishu Academy. Lyricist Ashraf Babu is in overall charge of the song. Partha Barua shared a video of the recording of the song on Facebook yesterday.

Regarding singing the famous patriotic song, Partha Barua said, “I like to work with child artists. The experience of this song with them is different. I hope that the song sung by hundreds of children will be liked by all.”

Director General of Bangladesh Shishu Academy Anjir Liton said, “On the occasion of Independence Day, we planned to arrange the song Joy Bangla in the voice of hundreds of children. We did it.”
