Installation exhibition starts tomorrow at Kala Kendra

An installation exhibition titled ‘Self-quest in the Time of Corona’ by Wakilur Rahman will begin tomorrow at Kala Kendra in the capital.

The opening ceremony will take place at 7:00 on April 1 at the gallery premises.

The exhibition is a meditation on an artist’s personal space and time as they were during the Corona pandemic.

Self-quarantined, hence, dislodged from the patterns and conventions of public space-time, the changed domestic scene becomes the stage for re-inventing its mundane materiality.

The gallery space is variedly retro-installed with Corona-led aesthetic interventions by the artist, who instrumentalised a daily practice to stave off the horrors and uncertainties of the time.

The exhibition will remain open to all every day from 4:00pm to 8:00pm till April 25.
