After a year, the teaser of Dhallywood superstar Shakib Khan and Bubly starrer ‘Leader: Ami Bangladesh’ was released on National Film Day on April 3. Tapu Khan chose this day to release the teaser. After the release of the 51-second teaser at 7 pm on this day, it spread on Facebook and YouTube speedily. The teaser received 109 Lakhs views, 12k Like, and 3734 comments within 21 hours of its release.
Sharing the teaser, Shakib Khan fans say that they will flock to the cinema halls to watch this film on Eid. They also wrote they feel the joy of Eid after seeing the teaser.
Shahajal Islam wrote in the YouTube comment section, “After waiting for a long time, finally I saw the leader.” Shahin Alom wrote, “I already watched 20 times, then it didn’t fill up, finally the waiting is over, finally I saw the leader.”
It’s AKASH Creation wrote, “Superstar Shakib Khan is making a remarkable comeback among Shakibiyans. It seems that director Tapu Khan has made a wonderful film. All the best to the leader team.”
Sumon Das wrote, “Oh, wow! The heartthrob of Dhallywood is back in his own fashion. We have the profoundest of love and good wishes for him. King Khan rocks.”
Md Anouarul Islam chowdhury wrote, “In fact, I was waiting for a long time to see a movie of King Khan. Once again, King Khan, the king of Dhallywood, will reign in Bengali films. Best wishes from Shakibiyans.”
The teaser shows Shakib Khan’s dialogue, “I want to build a person in every house of Bangladesh, who will be a leader without politics”, which is the only dialogue in the teaser.
Apart from the action, Shakib’s defiant look, Bubly’s leading look grabbed the audience’s attention in the teaser. Besides, Misha Saudagar and Shahiduzzaman Salim were also found in different looks.
‘Leader I am Bangladesh’ has been discussed from the beginning. Written by Delwar Hossain Dil, ‘Leader: Ami Bangladesh’ marks Topu Khan’s first venture as a director.
The shooting of the film started on May 25, 2021. The shoot was then postponed on September 26 of the same year. The entire production of the film was completed in three and a half months except for one song’s video which was later completed in October 2022.
Although the release of the film was delayed several times, it’s now ready to be released. The film received uncut clearance at the end of December from the Censor Board.
