Bangladeshi actress Nusrat Imrose Tisha’s latest film ‘Birkonna Pritilata’ is set to air on television after its successful theatrical run of nearly two months. Those who missed out on the chance to see it on the big screen can now watch the inspiring story of Pritilata Waddedar from the comfort of their own homes on the occasion of Eid.
The movie will make its television premiere on Channel i at 10:15 am on the second day of Eid.
Directed by Pradip Ghosh, the film is a government-funded project based on Selina Hossain’s novel ‘Bhalobasha Pritilata’, where Tisha portrays the role of the revolutionary leader, Pritilata Waddedar, who sacrificed her life during the Indian independence movement.
‘Birkanya Pritilata’ was released in theatres on November 25, 2022, however, the shooting of the movie concluded two years before the release. After the filming, Tisha took a break from acting. She made her return to the industry by attending the Cannes Film Festival in Paris, where she was involved in the promotion of ‘Birkanya Pritilata’ in early December that year.
