Chirkutt announces 3rd US tour

Popular Bangladeshi band Chirkutt is all set to embark on their third musical tour in the United States. The musical journey, titled ‘The Legacy Tour, USA 2023’ will begin in May and continue till the end of June.

During this time, the band will perform music in concerts in various cities in North America, with their first show in Boston. Chirkut’s spokesperson, musician Sharmin Sultana Sumi, expressed her excitement about the tour and asked their fans and well-wishers to pray for them.

“Let’s rock America with songs like Ahare Jibon, Dunia, Banglar Kotha, Kanamachi, More Jabo, Bondhugo, Jadur Shohor, and more,” said Sumi.

Chirkut has been entertaining its fans with original songs and new compositions for 21 years. Previously the band rocked two concerts in States. One was in 2015, and the other was in 2016. They also participated in a historic concert with the legendary world music band Scorpions at Madison Square Garden in Manhattan, which was organised by the Ministry of ICT to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Bangladesh.

Moreover, Chirkut has performed in various concerts in different cities in Norway, England, Australia, Sri Lanka, India, and Malaysia for the past 11 years.

They have also performed at one of the world’s largest and most prestigious music festivals, South by Southwest (SXSW), in 2016 as the first and only band from Bangladesh.

The Legacy Tour-USA 2023 is being organised by USA’s Jamming Entertainment and Drik.

Formed in 2002, the band consists of vocalist Sharmin Sultana Sumi, guitarist Emon Chowdhury, keyboardist Jahid Nirob, and drummer Pavel Areen.
