Varun to play a history teacher in ‘Bawaal’

Actor Varun Dhawan has been extensively working on ‘Bawaal’. The film is helmed by Nitesh Tiwari.

According to the Times of India, Nitesh Tiwari and Varun have a cracker of an emotional rollercoaster on their hands.

ETimes source shares, “Varun Dhawan plays a history teacher in the film, which ends up imparting wrong knowledge to students, who in turn end up creating bawaal in his life. Hew then embarks on a journey to learn the truth across Europe.”

Last year it was reported that ‘Bawaal’ will be one of the most expensive films of Varun’s career, as everyday cost of shooting the film in Europe was about Rs 2.5 crores. The source also adds, “The shooting cost has been high because ‘Bawaal’ has been shot in Paris, Berlin, Amsterdam, Krakow and Warsaw among others, which have a very strong World War 2 connection. The film also happens to be an anti-war film.”

Varun is paired opposite Janhvi Kapoor in this film and the duo is also rumored to reunite for the remake of ‘Theri’ by Atlee.

Last year, Varun Dhawan had a great outing with ‘Jugjugg Jeeyo’ and ‘Bhediya’, and 2023 is also going to be an action packed for him. Varun Dhawan will also mark his OTT debut this year with Citadel’s India installment, which is helmed by Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK. He has teamed up with Samantha Ruth Prabhu for this spy drama.
