‘Nakshi Kanthar Jamin’ set to have national release

The grant film ‘Nakshi Kanthar Jamin’ is all set to release in Bangladesh. The film, directed by Akram Khan, has received clearance from the Bangladesh Film Censor Board recently.

Farzana Munni, the chairperson of the film’s producer, TM Films, confirmed the information.

According to Farzana Munni, the film has won the appreciation of the country’s talented filmmakers present at the Censor Board while screening.

Farzana Munni said, “TM Films started with the dream of producing international quality films in the country. We wanted our house to start the journey with a film on our great Liberation War. We have been the production partner of the Government granted film ‘Nakshi Kanthar Jamin’. The film, directed by Akram Khan, has already gained many praises and honours in the international arena. I’m happy to announce that the film has censor clearance. We are now gearing up to release the film on the country’s big screen.”

The film was recently awarded as the best film at the Bengaluru International Film Festival in India. There, the film shared third place in the Asian competition section with ‘Viratapura Viraagi’. 14 other films competed in this section.
