Aamir Khan will join PM Modi’s ‘Mann Ki Baat’

On Tuesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said he was looking forward to the April 30 airing of the 100th edition of his radio show, “Mann Ki Baat.” According to Times Of India, the conversation will take place at a day-long conclave on Wednesday and celebrities like Aamir Khan and Raveena Tandon, athletes like Deepa Malik and Nikhat Zareen, journalists, radio hosts, and entrepreneurs will all take part.

Aamir, in a statement to PTI, said, “It’s a very important piece of communication that the leader of the country does with the people, discussing important issues, putting forward thoughts and giving suggestions. That is how you lead, with com-munication. You tell your people what you are looking at, how you are seeing the future, how you want their support. This is very important communication that happens in ‘Mann Ki Baat’”.

Over 100 people from all over the nation will attend the event organized by Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. A number of events have been scheduled, including four thematic sessions, the publication of two books, the unveiling of a commemorative postage stamp, and the unveiling of a commemorative coin.

The monthly radio show was launched by Modi in 2014, shortly after he was elected prime minister.

“This year is being celebrated as the year of millets. Millets are getting popular among people, be it ragi cookies or idlies. They are selling like hot cakes and farmers’ incomes are increasing due to it,” Modi said at a recent event.

“I mentioned millets many times in Mann Ki Baat...You all know that next Sunday Mann Ki Baat will complete its century, it will be the 100th episode. Mann Ki Baat has become a very good platform to highlight the specialities of the people of India and praise the uniqueness of the country. Like you, I am also eagerly awaiting the 100th episode,” he added.

The one-day conclave will be held in Delhi.
