Sajal’s performance in ‘Jinn’ praised

Renowned actor Abdun Noor Sajal and popular actress Urmila Srabonti Kar have acted together in many TV dramas and both have become close friends.

On Urmila’s call last Thursday, Sajal’s colleagues gathered at Star Cineplex in Dhaka’s Mohakhali to watch the actor’s latest film “Jinn,” directed by Nader Chowdhury.

Monira Mithu, Mukit Zakaria, Ahsan Habib Nasim, Hridi Haq, Tahmina Sultana Mou, Jyotika Jyoti, Golam Kibria Tanvir, Tanzika Amin, Nayma Alam Maha, and Barisha Haque were among many who came to watch the film. The film’s story and production and performance of the cast had impressed the artistes.

Urmila said, “Sajal is a dear person to all of us as a fellow artist. This movie has been released after a gap of several years. We watched the movie together to inspire and support him.”

“Everyone is going to the cinema hall and enjoying the movie. We want Sajal to work regularly in films because he is a great actor. More directors should cast him in their films. Best wishes to Sajal. And sincere gratitude to those who came to see the movie,” she said.

Sajal said, “The support from my friends and fellow artists has really moved me. I am sincerely grateful to everyone. One by one everyone has talked about my performance in ‘Jinn.’ I was really impressed by the passion and love for me in their eyes. Special thanks to Urmila.”

Among the few movies released during Eid-ul-Fitr last month, Sajal and Urmila’s “Jinn” has received a good response from the audience — making it one of the commercially successful movies this holiday season.

Sajal did not work any Eid TV drama or telefilm just for the promotional works of “Jinn.” He wants to spend a few more days dedicated to the film.
