The celebrated actress, who made her screen debut with the movie ‘E Jiban Tomar Amar’ on May 15 1998, has established herself as an icon earning praise for her versatile performances and enduring popularity.
Purnima’s journey in the world of cinema has been illustrious, consistently shining among the leading actresses who dominated Bangladeshi films. With an impressive filmography of 80 successful movies, Purnima has cemented her position as an actress whose name resonates throughout the history of Bangladeshi cinema.
Among her notable works, Purnima credits ‘Joddha’ as her first commercially successful film. Additionally, she holds a special place in her heart for movies such as ‘Sontan Jokhon Shotru’ directed by Nayak Raj Razzaq, ‘Premer Nam Bedona’ ‘Sultan’, ‘Moner Majhe Tumi’, ‘Shami Strir Juddho’, ‘Hridoyer Kotha’, ‘Akash Chhoa Bhalobasa’, ‘Lobe Pap Pape Mrittu’, ‘Matir Thikana’, ’Kotha Chilo Dekha Hobe’ and ‘Ora Amake Bhalo Hote Dilo Na’ among others.
