Taalpatar Shepai set to enthral Dhaka audience

Indian Bangla band Taalpatar Shepai gears up to make their debut performance in Bangladesh.

The band is all set to ignite the stage on June 15 at Aloki in Gulshan.

The highly anticipated event was officially announced by Dhaka Broadcast, the organisers, through their Facebook page. The announcement said, “The wait is over. Taalpatar Sepai is coming to perform in Dhaka for the first time.”

The audience were also provided with a pre-registration link in the comment section, enabling them to secure their spots for this much-awaited concert.

Rudan Al Amin, CEO of Dhaka Broadcast, confirmed the news to the media and expressed his enthusiasm about bringing ‘Taalpatar Shepai’ to Dhaka.

He further mentioned that detailed information about ticket prices and availability will soon be shared on their social media handles, ensuring that fans have all the necessary information to be a part of this memorable concert experience.

‘Taalpatar Shepai’, consisting of talented musicians Pritom Das and Suman Ghosh. Since 2011, the pair has collaborated to make music, and in 2017, they published their first videos titled Taalpatar Shepai. Although receiving very little attention at first, it didn’t take long for their performances to start going viral on social media. Their diverse influences, which ranged from rock and western folk music to Indian classical music, contributed to the development of an entirely distinctive sound.

As one of the Top 10 Artists on Youtube NextUp in 2019, Taalpatar Shepai wowed audiences by fusing the Bengali language with ukulele, a combination that had never before been done. Their popular tracks, including ‘Shonar Kathi’, ‘Moshader Chumu’, ‘Chander Shohor’, and ‘Ami Sudhu Khujechi Amay’, have captivated the hearts of music lovers across borders.
