Country star Blake Shelton bids farewell to ‘The Voice’ after 445 episodes, 23 seasons, and 12 years, according to CNN. Taking to his verified Instagram account on Tuesday, Shelton shared a heartfelt post, acknowledging the significance of the moment.
“When we signed up for season 1, I don’t think any of us knew what this was going to be,” Shelton reflected. “These past 12 years I have made lifelong friends and memories.”
Among those lifelong friends is his wife and fellow “Voice” coach, Gwen Stefani, whom he met on the show in 2014. The couple tied the knot in 2021, solidifying their bond nurtured through their shared experience on the show.
Shelton made sure to recognize the talented singers he has mentored during his tenure on “The Voice,” stating, “I’ve had the great opportunity to coach some really talented artists, 9 who have taken home #TeamBlake wins.” He expressed his joy in witnessing the growth of these artists since their time on the show.
Expressing gratitude, Shelton concluded his post by thanking everyone who has contributed to his journey on “The Voice.” He extended his appreciation to the crew, coaches, contestants, fans, and especially his wife, who have collectively made these years truly remarkable.
