‘Antarjal’ set for Eid release here and abroad

Director Dipankar Dipon’s highly anticipated cybercrime thriller, “Antarjal,” is set to release simultaneously in Bangladesh, the US, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand and several countries in Europe and the Middle East during the upcoming Eid-ul-Azha.

The announcement came on Sunday alongside the unveiling of the film’s official poster on social media.

In a press release, Dipon said, “This movie encapsulates the astonishing world of the internet, showcasing various cybercrimes. We are going to give Bangla movie lovers on five continents the opportunity to experience and enjoy the action and suspense of ‘Antarjal.’ Through the seamless integration of technology and an engaging storyline, we are bringing this cinematic masterpiece to the internet-savvy generation.”

Starring popular actors Siam Ahmed, Bidya Sinha Mim, ABM Sumon and Sunerah Binte Kamal in pivotal roles, “Antarjal” promises to captivate audiences with its unique blend of suspense and technological intrigue. The film delves into the intricacies of the online realm, highlighting the importance of cybersecurity and the preparedness of the Bangladeshi generation to navigate global cyberspace.

Adding to the excitement, renowned Bangladeshi band Chirkutt has contributed to the film’s official soundtrack by recording a new song titled “Robot.” The song, written by the band’s vocalist Sharmin Sultana Sumi, promises to complement the film’s narrative and captivate audiences with its heartfelt lyrics. Chirkutt enthusiasts can also look forward to seeing the band featured in the song’s music video.

The screenplay of “Antarjal” was penned by Dipon himself, while the story was co-written by Dipon, Saifullah Riyad and Asha Jahid.

“Antarjal” is an initiative of the ICT Division Bangladesh and is being produced under the banner of Motion People with the overall cooperation of communication agency Spellbound Leo Burnett.
