Bubly set to captivate audience with ‘Prahelika’ this Eid

Anticipation is mounting for Shobnom Bubly’s highly awaited Eid release, “Prahelika,” directed by Chayanika Chowdhury, where she takes on the role of Arpa.

Both industry insiders and the film’s production team expect this performance to establish Bubly as a versatile actress, showcasing her ability to captivate the audience with her remarkable talent.

Bubly has already cemented her position as one of the most popular heroines in the country’s film industry.

Her outstanding performances in the recent Eid releases, “Leader: Ami-i Bangladesh” directed by Topu Khan, and “Local” directed by Saif Chandan, propelled her into the spotlight.

Expressing her enthusiasm for the film, Bubly said, “The ‘Prahelika’ team is an incredibly talented and knowledgeable group. They possess both academic and social acumen, making them an exceptional team.”

“During the shoot, I faced personal challenges and felt somewhat disheartened. However, the ‘Prahelika’ team provided unwavering support, ensuring I stayed focused on my character. I gave my best effort to authentically portray Arpa, and now I eagerly await the audience’s response. I’m confident that the story of ‘Prahelika’ and the performances of the entire cast will be well-received,” she said.

The first song from the film, titled ‘Megher Nouka,’ has already been released on Bongo’s YouTube channel. Asif Iqbal penned the lyrics, while Imran Mahmudul composed the music. Imran and Konal have lent their voices to the song.

The song received a positive response from the audience upon its release, and Mahfuz, who worked on the song, is filled with hope.

The story, dialogues, and screenplay of ‘Prahelika’ were penned by Pantha Shahriar.

Chayanika Chowdhury hopes that viewers will discover a new side to Mahfuz and Bubly through Pantha Shahriar’s storytelling.

While currently busy filming Jasim Uddin Zakir’s “Maya: The Love”, Bubly’s mother, Jasmine Akhter, recently received a prestigious accolade at the ‘Maa Padak 2023’ event. Organised by ‘Madiha Marsiha Advertising’ and hosted by the Ali-Rupa Foundation, the event honoured Jasmine Akhter, who received the recognition from esteemed chief guest Runa Laila.
