Five times National Film Award-winning actor Ferdous Ahmed is going to celebrate his 50th birth anniversary today.

Ferdous began his acting career in 1997 and has since starred in over 100 films. He is known for his versatility and has played a wide range of roles, from romantic leads to action heroes. As Ferdous celebrates his birthday today, he remains focused on his upcoming projects, with ten eagerly anticipated films awaiting release.

Among the highly anticipated films set to hit theaters soon is ‘Maniker Lal Kankra’, ‘Ahare Jibon’, ‘Khoma Nei’, ‘Gangchil’, ‘Jam’, ‘Russel-er Jonno Opekkha’, ‘1971 Sei Sob Din’, ‘Hazar Bochorer Shrestho Bengali’, ‘Mike’, and ‘Dampara’.

Reflecting on his birthday, Ferdous said, “I have never been the one to organise grand celebrations around my birthday. I prefer spending the day with my family and receiving warm wishes from loved ones and well-wishers. This year is no exception, as there are no special events planned. I am eagerly waiting for the release of my upcoming films, just like everyone else. But maybe Hridi Haq’s ‘1971 Sei Sob Din’ movie will be released first.”

Ferdous won his first National Film Award for his outstanding performance in the movie ‘Hothat Brishti’, directed by Basu Chatterjee. He subsequently received the same prestigious award for his noteworthy roles in ‘Kusum Kusum Prem’, ‘Ek Cup Cha’, ‘Ganga Jatra’, and ‘Putro’.

Looking ahead, Ferdous is set to wrap up the filming of ‘Dokhino Duar’ directed by Syed Wahiduzzaman Diamond by June 16. Fans and audiences alike eagerly anticipate the release of his diverse range of films, showcasing his versatile acting prowess.
