Souls celebrate 50th anniv

Bangladeshi rock band Souls is going to celebrate their 50th anniversary. The band arranged a press conference to announce plans for their 50th anniversary and their newly designed logo at Gulshan Club on Tuesday.

Former and current members of the band attended the event and unveiled the new logo. Partha Barua, the band’s vocalist and lead guitarist, told the media that they were planning their 50th anniversary for a long time.

Partha Barua said, “Celebrating 50 years is a dream project for Soules. We have been planning this for a long time. We have many thoughts about it. We don’t know how much we can do. We are currently in discussion with various sponsors related to the programme. We will inform everyone as soon as everything gets finalized.”

The musician also said that they have plans for an international concert this year. “We are planning golden jubilee concerts in the country and abroad. We will start doing tours at the end of August. Besides, I have done many songs and will release them one by one with video.”

He said, “We want to do a special programme for the general audience. We have many plans. Now I will slowly go to their execution.”

Souls’ current lineup includes Naseem Ali Khan on vocals, Partha Barua on vocals and lead guitar, Ahsanur Rahman Ashiq on drums, Meer Masum on the keyboard, and Maruf Hasan Real on bass guitar.
