Ekushey Padak winning actor and TV play director Abul Hayat turned 79 today. The actor never keeps any type of shooting in his schedule on his birthday. On the occasion of the special day, Abul Hayat will participate in the TV show ‘Taroka Kathan’ at 12:30pm on Channel i, produced by Ananya Ruma.
Abul Hayat also informed that today is also the birthday of his granddaughter Shrisha (daughter of Natasha Hayat). So he will spend quality time with his granddaughter today.
On the occasion, Abul Hayat made a stage drama titled ‘Shodh’. Scripted by Abul Hayat and directed by Dominic Gomez, Stage One Dhaka will host the play ‘Shodh’ at the National Theatre Hall of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy on September 10. The play stars Naznin Hasan Chumki, Sobhan Bipul, Kazi Al Amin, Reazul Islam, Tahmina Khatun and others.
“On my birthday, I have a wish that I can complete my unfinished works properly. And as usual, I will miss my eldest daughter Bipasha and her family on this special day. I want everyone’s prayer that I can live well with my wife Shirin, my children and grandchildren. I had the privileig of completing a lot of achievements in one life, thanks to Almighty Allah”, said Abul Hayat.
Regarding his new play, Abul Hayat said, “Nowadays I am focusing more on writing than acting. That is why currently I am giving attention to writing my auto-biography. The play ‘Shodh’ is a new play written by me. Those who are staging the play are staging it with great interest and enthusiasm. My best wishes for the young actors.”
Meanwhile, Abul Hayat last acted in Chayanika Chowdhury’s TV drama ‘Anandodham’. The drama is written by Masum Shahriar. Abul Hayat said that he is also going to act in a new TV drama serial directed by Arif Khan.
