Actor Sameer Khakhar dies at 71

Actor Sameer Khakhar passed away on Wednesday at the age of 71. The actor best known for his role in the iconic television show Nukkad was suffering from respiratory and other medical problems and was admitted to the MM Hospital in Borivali, where he breathed his last. According to the Indian Express, his funeral proceeded to Babhai Naka Crematorium, Borivali.

In a career spanning nearly four decades, the actor appeared across mediums and worked with major talents both in front of and behind the camera. Khakhar also starred in shows such as Manorajan, Circus, Naya Nukkad, Shrimaan Shrimati, and Adaalat. More recently, he played a supporting role in Sudhir Mishra’s Netflix film Serious Men, the ZEE5 series Sunflower, and Prime Video’s Farzi.
