Singer-songwriter Adele has announced she will be releasing new music in almost six years. Adele posted on social media on Tuesday she will be releasing her new single ‘Easy on Me’ on October 15, reports Variety.
She shared in her Instagram profile, a black and white video with a piano melody. “Easy On Me - October 15,” she wrote.
The social media buzz bodes well for Adele’s upcoming album, which has yet to be officially announced but will surely take the world by storm when details are finally revealed. Fans are speculating that the new album will be titled ‘30,’ which follows the pattern of Adele’s previous albums being named for the age at which she started working on them. Mysterious billboards with the number 30 also starting appearing around the world, fueling theories of the upcoming title.
It will be a presumptive lead single from her upcoming fourth album after 2015. She released her third album titled ‘25’ that became the year’s best-selling album and broke first-week sales records in a number of markets, including the UK and the US.
In 2016 she released three singles from the album ‘25’, including ‘Water Under the Bridge.’ The next year, the album won two Grammy awards for Album of the Year and Best Pop Vocal Album.
Adele is one of the best-selling musicians in the world, with over 120 million albums sold. In 2008, she released her debut album, ‘19.’
She was named among a group of personalities most associated with UK culture by young adults from outside in 2014.
