On the occasion of Durga Puja, Dhallywood superstar Apu Biswas starrer ‘Isha Khan’ will be released on September 30. Actor DA Tayeb will be seen opposite of her. The premiere show of the film was held on September 17 on the 8th floor of Bangladesh Film Development Corporation (BFDC) in the capital.
State minister for Disaster Management and Relief Enamur Rahman attended the premiere show as chief guest, while deputy managing director of Asian Group Saiful Islam Bhuiyan was present as a special guest and director of Dutch Bangla Bank Ltd Shahbuddin Ahmed was present as a discussant.
Produced by SG Productions and directed by Dayel Rahman, the movie’s screenplay was made on the concept of Dr Mahfuzur Rahman.
During the Mughal period, Isha Khan was the head of the twelve influential zamindars of Bengal. He refused to pay taxes to the Mughal Emperor Akbar during his tenure. This caused a huge fight among them. The film ‘Isha Khan’ was made keeping that context in mind.
DA Tayeb is playing the role of Isha Khan in this film, while Apu Biswas will play the role of Sona Moyi (daughter of another zamindar Chand Ray). The film also stars Rebeka, Don, Anha Tamanna and others.
