Popular actor Ziaul Faruq Apurba’s film ‘Mayashalik’ is now streaming on OTT platform Binge.
The film also had its premiere in Bashundhara City’s Star Cineplex on Tuesday at 6:30 pm.
The story of the Shihab Shaheen-directed romantic, fantasy film revolves around a young, retired military officer, who had to quit the army due to physical injuries. To get rid of his depression, he moves away from the chaotic city life, to a place where there is no mobile network. And then begins some mysterious activities around him, and he eventually falls in love with a mysterious girl. The role of that mysterious girl named Sarah has been played by Sadia Ayman.
“I never worked in such a character before. I also think this kind of project is very new. The story is very interesting. My director guided me perfectly. To know more audience will like the film and they will give their honest feedback,” said Apurba.
‘Mayashalik’ marks the first film of Sadia Ayman. While expressing her feelings, she said, “As this is my first film, it is very close to me. I lost count of how many times I’ve watched the trailer and teaser. When I started the project, I was very excited, and now that the film is out, I’m having the same feeling,” said the actress.
Jahan Sultana wrote the screenplay of the film. The film was shot in various locations including Chattogram, Banshkhali, Gazipur and some nearby places around Dhaka.
The film has also cast Sadia Ayman, Imtiaz Barshon, and Shahiduzzaman Selim in vital roles.
