Chaitra Sankranti to be celebrated at Shilpakala

Today is the last day of Bangla calendar year 1428. The day will be celebrated as Chaitra Sankranti across the country.

To mark the Chaitra Sankranti, to say adieu to the last year prior to the beginning of the New Year 1429, Bangladesh Group Theatre Federation in association with Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy (BSA) has organised a programme at the lobby of the Experimental Theatre Hall of BSA, Segun Bagicha in the capital.

Eminent cultural personalities will join the programme.

The programme will begin at 7:00pm, by playing instrumental music. The programme will feature traditional performances, where members of theatre troupes as well as invited artistes will perform.

Presided over by director general of BSA Liaquat Ali Lucky, Bangladesh Group Theatre Federation secretary general Chandan Reza will deliver welcome speech, poet Asad Chowdhury will attend as cultural personality.
