One of the popular young directors, Mizanur Rahman Aryan, rose to fame almost overnight after the release of tele-drama ‘Boro Chele’ starring Apurba and Mehazabien. The drama created quite a hype among cross-sections of people. In the meantime, he has made many other popular dramas including ‘Hello, Shunchen?’, ‘Take Valobasha Bole’ and ‘Buker Ba Pashe’.
Now, the web film titled ‘Network Er Baire’ marks Aryan’s debut as a filmmaker with releasing on the OTT platform Chorki. At first, he thought of making it for the big screen, but he had to shelve his plan and collaborate with Chorki for OTT release taking the pandemic situation into account. He is still hyperventilating with excitement for his first film.
“I completed all the unfinished works of this film just a few days ago. Even though I was working on other projects along with it, the thought of making this film more perfect was always in my mind. I was present almost every day in the panel for the post-production works. But then again, my hard work will be paid off, only if my audience watches this film and love it.”
The director, of course, dreamt of a big-screen release, but the rogue virus did not allow it.
“I have a dream that the people will come to watch my films in cinema halls. There will be crowd in every corner of the cinema hall. If the virus situation lets up, I will continue making films to make my dream come true.”
He went on to say, “This film was supposed to be my big-screen debut, but I decided to release the film on an OTT platform with the support of Chorki owing to the current situation. I wanted this film to be released in a cinema hall packed with audience. As it could not be made possible, now I expect people to subscribe Chorki, watch my film, talk about it on social media and ask their friends to watch it as well.”
The director has shared spoilers as well for the readers to arouse their interest. The film revolves around four friends, who have recently finished their higher studies.
“The film tells the tale of four friends and their lives. This story is the mixture of love and friendship. It also portrays the struggles of their lives. After finishing their higher studies, they set out for a tour in Cox’s Bazar and Saint Martin. The film revolves around the happenings before and after that tour. I think the youth can relate to the story more,” the director told The Business Post.
Aryan has also shared an interesting story from the shooting.
He added, “As this is a very fresh and youth-based story, the shooting of this film was very fun. Though the cast never met each other before, but they became friends during the filming. They still hangout sometimes together. I remember one interesting story when one of the lead actors Khairul Bashar helped me as an assistant director in two sequences because my assistant directors were on the other ships and Khairul offered me help. So, that was really a nice moment.”
When Aryan was asked whether he will be preferring films to dramas now, he said, “I am already working on two other web films. But no, I will never leave the small screen. The small screen made me what I am today. I will continue to work for the small screen.”
The web film ‘Network Er Baire’ features a star-studded cast including Shariful Raz, Yash Rohan, Orsha, Tasnuva Tisha, Khairul Bashar, Jonaed Bagdadi, Farin and Nazifa Tushi.
