Imran to release new song on his birthday

Singer-composer Imran Mahmudul is gearing up to treat his fans with a brand-new single on the occasion of his birthday, which falls on September 5.

Titled ‘Poran Bondhure’, the song is written by renowned lyricist Kabir Bakul while its tune and music are done by Imran himself.

Saikat Reza has directed the music video of ‘Poran Bondhure’ which is scheduled to be released on the YouTube channel of record label CMV on September 5.

In the music video, model-actress Keya Payel will be seen along with Imran.

Imran took to his social media handle and alerted his fans about the song Sunday. “(I) could not release any new song during last Eid due to the lockdown. So, now I’m coming up with a new song marking my upcoming birthday. Keya Payel will be seen with me (in the video),” he wrote in a Facebook post sharing a candid selfie with Payel.

On Monday, the singer posted another selfie with Payel from the sets of the music video.

Earlier, on August 6, marking the 80th death anniversary of Rabindranath Tagore, Imran released a recreated version of the timeless song ‘Amaro Porano Jaha Chay’ in collaboration with singer Dilshad Nahar Kona, paying tribute to the great Bengali poet.
