James to release new song day before Eid

Bangladeshi rock icon Faruq Mahfuz Anam, commonly known as James, is set to release his new song titled ‘Sobi Bhul’ on the day before Eid-Ul-Fitr on Banshundhara Group’s YouTube channel Bashundhara Digital’. Co-written with late lyricist Bishu Shikder, the song is composed by James.

James announced the song at a press conference at Bashundhara’s head office in Dhaka on Monday.

He said, “Keeping in mind the response of the audience towards the first song, the second song was made by taking adequate time. As Bashundhara gives freedom of work, I took the time to give something good. I will do some more singles with them in the future.”

“You are my beloved audience. Thank you for coming at my invitation. My new song will be released on the day before Eid. The song is produced by Bashundhara Digital. Thanks to them for giving me complete freedom to make the song”, he added.

Nagarbaul’s James and Bashundhara have signed agreements for several songs for the digital channel ‘Bashundhara Digital’ on April 28, 2022. The first song ‘I Love You’ was released during Eid-ul-Fitr 2022.

James is the lead singer, songwriter and guitarist of the rock band “Nagar Baul” (previously known as ‘Feel-ings’), which he founded in 1977.
