Kaniz Suborna comes up with ‘Maya’

After long seven years, pop singer Kaniz Suborna is making a comeback in the music arena with a new song titled ‘Maya’. The song will be released on the YouTube channel of Dhrubo Music Station on Eid ul-Azha.

The song is written and composed by Tanvir Tarek and produced by Dhurbo Music Station.

Regarding the song, Kaniz said, “I have stood before the microphone after seven years. It feels great. All the credit goes to Tanvir Tarek. Many people have told me that they will produce a song for me but nobody did. Finally the journey has started again with a wonderful song.”

The recording of the song was done at a studio in Dhanmondi.

Tanvir said, “I met Suborna in a meet-up. There, I told her that I want to write a song for her. This is a song about her comeback. The theme of song is how a woman wants to come back after being distanced with her family for a long time. I hope the audience will like the song.”

Kaniz Suborna started her singing career at a young age. She released her first album comprising of 12 songs composed by Ayub Bacchu which was a hit.

Her popular songs include, ‘Tumi Nissho Kore Dao’, ‘Sha La La La’, ‘Eito Ami Tomar Achi’, and ‘Bhalobashi Jare’.

She has released five albums so far. Her last album titled ‘Shonar Kathi, Rupar Kathi’ was released in 2005. Later, after 10 years gap, Kaniz Suborna performed in a song titled ‘Sara Daona’ in 2015 which was coordinated by DJ Rahat.
