Moushumi to star in ‘Sonar Char’

Popular Dhallywood actress Moushumi is going to star in a new film titled ‘Sonar Char’ under the direction of Zahid Hossain. Alongside Moushumi’s husband actor Omar Sani in the lead role, Zayed Khan will also play an important character in the film.

‘Sonar Char’ will be produced by Jahangir Shikder under the banner of Excel Films.

Makers of the film are expecting to kick off the shooting from September 15 if the ongoing coronavirus situation improves.

In 2004, actress Moushumi collaborated with director Zahid Hossain for his film ‘Matritto’.

Omar Sani and Moushumi on August 2 celebrated their 25th marriage anniversary at home amid the nationwide Covid-19 restrictions.

The duo first collaborated for Dilip Shom directorial ‘Dola’ in 1994 and became one of the most successful on-screen pairs in the film industry. They acted together in the movies like ‘Atmo Ohongkar’, ‘Prothom Prem’, ‘Harano Prem’ ‘Priyo Tumi’, and ‘Kotha Dao’.
