Nirab, Mehjabien to perform at Hatirjheel Amphitheatre today

Actor Nirab Hossain and actress Mehajabien Chowdhury will perform together at a programme, titled ‘Laal Sabujer Mahotsab’ in the capital’s Hatirjheel Amphitheatre, organised by the FBCCI celebrating the 50 years of Bangladesh. 

On the opening day of the programme today, Nirab and Mehajabien will perform in the song ‘Jwale Otho Bangladesh’ sung by Arfin Rumey and the band Durbin.

“Mehajabien and I are going to perform together on stage after nearly two years. We are now rehearsing for it. It’s a grand occasion which is expected to be inaugurated by the prime minister. I hope it is going to be an amazing experience for us,” Nirab told The Business Post on Tuesday.

The programme ‘Laal Sabujer Mahotsab’ will run for 16 days, until the Victory Day on December 16, celebrating the Golden Jubilee of Bangladesh.

Many other artistes including renowned Rabindra Sangeet singer Rezwana Chowdhury Bannya, Kaushik Hossain Taposh are also scheduled to perform on the opening day of the programme today.

Visitors can enjoy the programme at Hatirjheel Amphitheatre, free of cost, from 7:00pm on weekdays.
