Nora Fatehi gets legal notice from Dhaka

Popular Bollywood model and actress Nora Fatehi recently received a legal notice from the capital’s Mirror Group. The notice was issued for not refunding the advance payment that the actress accepted for performing at an award show in Dhaka for the Mirror magazine.

The actress was supposed to perform at the award show in December but the Ministry of Cultural Affairs did not give the actress to perform due to the dollar crunch. Later when the organisers claimed that they paid an advance of Rs 15 lakh and when they tried to contact the actress she didn’t reply to their emails.

According to reports by Bangla Tribune, the Managing Director of Mirror Group, Shahjahan Bhuiyan has sent a legal notice to Nora Fatehi which states that the actress needs to return the advance or else she cannot perform in any other event in Dhaka.

The legal notice was sent to her Mumbai residence.

Earlier Nora confirmed her visit to Dhaka with a video message from her Facebook handle where she said, “I am looking forward to meeting you all. See you on November 18.”

The actress will be performing in Dhaka at the Global Achievers Awards on November 18. The event has been organised by the Women’s Leadership Corporation, and at the event, Nora will hand over the prize to women entrepreneurs and perform for them on stage.

The 30-year-old actress is currently making headlines for singing and performing in the FIFA 2022 anthem titled ‘Light the Sky’ released recently.

Born and raised in Canada, Nora is of Moroccan descent and a popular actress, model, dancer, singer, and producer in the Indian film industry. She has appeared in Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam and Tamil language films. She made her film debut in the Bollywood film ‘Roar: Tigers of the Sundarbans.’

She gained popularity in Telugu cinema by doing item numbers in films like ‘Temper,’ ‘Baahubali:

The Beginning’ and ‘Kick 2’ and has also starred in two Malayalam films, ‘Double Barrel’ and ‘Kayamkulam Kochunni.’

She first gained audience attention back in 2015 when she was a contestant on the Indian reality television show ‘Bigg Boss 9’ and was evicted on Day 84.
