Pritom, Xefer grace the Grammy red carpet

The 65th Annual Grammy Awards took place in Los Angeles on February 5, to recognise the best recordings, compositions, and artistes. Like many other celebrities, and musicians, Bangladeshi singers Pritom Hasan and Xefer Rahman graced the Grammy red carpet this time.

The musicians looked amazing on the red carpet, with Pritom dressed in a custom suit with Bangladeshi motifs on the lapel and Xefer in a gorgeous red saree.

Pritom expressed his delight on Facebook, writing, “Always watched Grammy awards and snippets on television and YouTube. Never imagined I’ll be witnessing Grammy with my bestie Xefer wearing a custom-made nokshikatha tuxedo. Harry styles, Beyoncé, Taylor swift, Kendrick Lamar, Madonna, The Rock, Adele, They all were 300 meters away from us!”

Although Bangladeshi singer-songwriter Armeen Musa and her mother and eminent Nazrul exponent Dr Nashid Kamal have been nominated for the Grammy Awards in the category of Best Global Music for the song ‘Jaago Piya’ but didn’t win the award. Pritom expressed compassion for Armeen.

“Hope to see one of our Bangladeshi artists on the red-carpet someday!” he wrote.

Unlike Pritom, Xefer also expressed her excitement on social media and wrote, “What a surreal experience at the Grammys with Pritom Hasan!”

Both the artistes witnessed the Grammy’s through Qinetic music.
